Fostering scientific and technological talents that will lead the new industry of carbon neutrality and future clean energy

Dept. of Carbon Neutrality

What is carbon neutrality?

It refers to reducing emissions generated by human activities and increasing carbon absorption to achieve net zero emissions in order to prevent the increase of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere.

Introduction

SCH Department of Carbon Neutrality is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary talents. Our goal is to lead new clean energy industries and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

We offer diverse programs that cover the following: Hydrogen production, storage and transport; Carbon capture and storage; Closed-loop recycling; Renewable energy; Next-generation batteries; Solar cells; AI power semiconductors; and ESG policies. Focusing on training practical engineers, we nurture global talents in carbon neutrality by providing innovative education and research opportunities based on the following: Energy engineering; Chemical engineering; Materials science; Environmental engineering; Artificial intelligence; and Electrical and electronics engineering.

In response to the emerging global paradigm of carbon neutrality, we aim to lead the clean energy and eco-friendly industrial sectors. Through our research and education, we produce top talents who will drive industry development and ensure national energy security.

Educational Objectives
