We Foster Creative Content Creators In the Korean Cultural Content Industry
From the Dangun Myth to the recent Korean Wave, Korean culture has been changed and expanded while going with the flow of the times. The Department of Korean Cultural Contents educates students on the ability to understand rich Korean culture in-depth and create content that can be enjoyed by contemporaries. Now there is strong demand for creative talents who can join the Korean cultural content industry based on the digital revolution of the 21st century.
This department nurtures communicative talents with storytelling skills based on humanistic thinking and practical skills related to cultural content planning, production, and marketing. Communication and problem-solving skills are foundational skills for our students. Additionally, we aim to nurture communicative talents who are equipped with both of the following characteristics: First, we help students build humanistic thinking and storytelling skills based on professional knowledge about Korean culture, a core competency that enables content planning to unleash its potential. Second, we help build job competency related to cultural content planning, production, and marketing. Only with the practical ability to actualize in content can Korean culture be convincing and appealing to the international community as well as among Koreans.
