We Foster NT Leaders of the Future in the 21st Century
Nano Chemical Engineering is not the traditional chemical engineering for the mass production and equipment industries, but it is an advanced industry involving biotechnology, medical engineering, as well as advanced material engineering, which has expanded to a microscopic area to meet the need for quality of life and a better environment. It is a state-of-the-art department that leads the development of science and human civilization by expanding its field of futuristic automotive engineering. The department aims to develop high-tech science and technology talent that can participate in the core technology development required by the nation through industry-academic cooperation. Through industry-university cooperation, the department aims to nurture high-level scientific and technological talents who can play a role in developing key technologies required by a nation. Nano-chemical engineering students should submit a theory and experimentation-based dissertation for graduation. Students can receive research guidance tailored to their aptitude from the advisor of the specific major of the student’s choice. Specifically, majors are divided into chemical engineering and industrial chemistry, and the department provides education to enhance creativity through well-planned instruction per major. We strengthen applied education through active joint research with industries and research institutes and basic education through close ties with universities at home and abroad. High-performance research equipment such as GC, IR, UV, TGA, BET, DSC, SEM, HPLC, and particle size analyzer is available for professional research, and more new research equipment will continue to be available. Major research areas include plasma processing, catalytic reaction engineering, organic synthesis and purification, powder engineering, process control, process simulation, polymer process, life, and separation process. And research in basic and applied fields is being actively conducted through industry-university cooperative research.
