Introduction

Information Technology (IT), one of the pivotal technologies that leads the digitalization and globalization of today and tomorrow, is a combination of computer, electrical, electronic, control engineering, and information communication technology. The electronic information engineering department aims to train talents essential for Korean industries by comprehensively educating these converged, complex technologies.
In the electronic information engineering department, 14 full-time professors and visiting professors with outstanding research and educational performance are making every effort to nurture engineers that will be the driving force of Korea's growth by providing creative and specialized education and research programs. The curriculum consists of a variety of basic and applied subjects in electrical, electronic, and information engineering. In particular, The program is designed to cultivate graduates to become experts in this field by providing a major program specialized in the following three tracks

- Display Electronic Information Track: Education on the display and semiconductor industries where Korea has the world's leading technology

- Power Information Systems Track: Education on the power systems and power electronics industries that are the backbone of all industries

- Control Information System Track: Education on intelligent robots and digital electronics industries that are being promoted as the next-generation national growth engine industry

The Department of Electronic Information Engineering is carrying out large-scale national projects for industry-university cooperative education and research. We have established an industry-university-integrated industry-academic cooperation system with large companies such as the local Samsung Display Complex, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors, and mid-sized companies related to electronic information engineering. Through these, the department closely guides students toward holistic education in which building graduates' work competence, nurturing digitalized-and globalized-oriented talents, and cultivating the right character through ethics education. In the future, we will make every effort to become a department that will produce the best engineers in the IT field by continuously reforming the curriculum, expanding job opportunities through industry-university cooperation, and actively guiding students with ongoing professor support.

Career path

The department strives to achieve 100% for the employment of our students with the motto of “High-Quality Output.” Our department is located adjacent to the global mecca of the display industry and is building a close industry-university cooperation system with many electronic information-related companies, including Samsung Electronics. As a result, our students grow into practical talents that companies need, and companies hire our students, contributing to developing companies and the national economy. Following the entrepreneurial spirit cultivated from the Department of Information Technology Engineering, the forerunner of our department, many graduates started many businesses on and off-campus, and companies are vying to hire students.
