Introduction

Humans are engaged in economic activities every day, and money always flows behind them. Without realizing it, money flows from those who can afford it to those who need it. Likewise, this transfer of money is called finance, and financial companies are playing this role in the financial market.
The department of Economic Finance provides students with education on the major three pillars of finance--banking, securities, and insurance-- and asset management to understand the overall finance that influences our economic activities.
In addition, the department focuses on financial BigData, blockchain, and fintech education to nurture talents in the financial industry of the 4th industrial revolution. The converged education of financial investment and asset management, traditional economic theory, and practical economic knowledge in the department will raise the competitiveness of graduates to the next height.
Our department has set three major areas for our student’s career paths. These are the government and public sectors, financial investment sectors such as banks/security companies/fintech companies, and Korean and overseas companies. Regardless of what career path students choose, we are committed to useful and practical education to ensure their personal satisfaction as professionals who contribute to society.
