Introduction

Health Administration and Management is a systematic study of theories and methods for managing health at minimal cost and providing quality medical administration, management, and IT services. Students will focus on learning the theoretical and practical knowledge of administration, management, and information in the healthcare industry. Expectations and demands for advanced medical and health services are increasing as the government pushes ahead with a plan to establish a hospital holding company, and national income and awareness of health increase. The need for changes in health and medical policies, medical market opening, hospital administration management, and information innovation accelerates changes in the relevant industries, increasing the demand for health administration and management professionals.

To fulfill the demand, the SCH Health Administration and Management Department aims to nurture professional management experts who will become the center of administration and management innovation in the medical and health industry based on U-healthcare. Through education programs centered on the three pillars of health administration, management, and hospital IT management, the department cultivates field-oriented administrative management experts and comprehensively responds to the needs of the future healthcare industry.

Having many affiliated hospitals, the department provides a favorable environment where students can acquire practical skills and experience. In addition, The faculty, consisting of the former Vice Minister of Health and Welfare and a group of experts with more than 10 years of field experience, provide three-dimensional education in a practical and practical curriculum that combines theory and practice and are the pride and strength of this department. In addition, there are research groups for various fields of interest such as the Medical English Research Society, the Hospital Management Information Research Society, and the Academic Research Society. From the first year in college, all students can join the career counseling and employment preparation classes run by professors and enjoy a one-on-one system where students can talk about school life, difficulties, employment, and career counseling and preparation privately with a professor. Such one-on-one (1:1) customized education strengthens the relationship between professor and student, enabling to double the learning effect in a family-like atmosphere created by a small number of professors and students.
