Our group was launched with the goal of fostering creative and practical talent to lead the new energy industries, in an era where secondary batteries, energy storage systems (ESS), and AIoT technologies are rapidly converging.
Having devoted many years to secondary battery research, I have continued to explore and experiment in pursuit of those thrilling moments of discovery. Such moments come only after countless questions, failures, and patience. I believe that research is an act of stepping beyond the boundaries of familiar knowledge into the unknown and carefully taking the first step on uncharted paths.
With this philosophy in mind, our education and research group aims to help each student grow by exploring their unique paths without fear of failure. We will support young researchers in designing their own growth directions through convergence education that fosters creative problem-solving, practice-oriented training linked to industrial fields, and an internationally minded research environment.
Personally, I believe that research should not be evaluated solely by numerical achievements, but also by considering the underlying efforts, experiments, and the sincerity of the researchers. Even if those efforts do not immediately yield visible results, I believe they ultimately determine the depth of academic and technological advancement. I hope that such values will be naturally embedded in the operations of our education and research group.
I will closely support the journey of young researchers as they discover themselves through challenges and failures, and grow joyfully through their research.
Thank you.
